Yes I do believe that stratification has a place in a society, in a sense that people are stratified based on economic status or background of one's family, stratification is around the society , it takes place in a family, school and even in occupation , foristance in school student are stratified based on their intelligent and ability to perform well in their studies, those who have intelligent ability tend to form one class, in occupation as well workers are stratified based on the position and contributions on which one contributes to the society as those who work in department seems to be a very important than others, again it can be seen that those people may spend similar years of studies but receiving different salary, example teachers and lawyers .
